Container gardening, plant design, and ongoing maintenance programs that create the city’s most welcoming spaces.

Greenery is an asset.

Thoughtfully designed plant installations enhance architecture, create welcoming spaces, and elevate the perception of your business to improve guest and visitor experience.

Le Peacock is a Montréal-based container gardening, plant design and care company was founded by Oklahoma native and urban planner Barrett Hedges; and Québec native architect Alex Morin.

Since 2021, we’ve been designing and planting custom installations for the city’s best restaurants, interiors, residences and institutions.

Container gardening done differently.

Across Montréal, too many plant installations are poorly maintained or treated as disposable. During the summer season when the city’s streets, terraces, and public spaces come alive, plants were often struggling rather than making businesses look better.

So we built a better model. Our installations prioritize lasting plants over annuals, which dominate the horticultural industry. In our projects, annuals take less than 20%, allowing us to create richer designs while significantly reducing waste.

This allows us to design high-end plant installations for terraces, restaurants, commercial buildings, residences, and public spaces. From conception and sourcing to installation and ongoing maintenance, we handle the entire process so our clients never have to worry about plant care, seasonal turnover, or logistics.

Our terrace program reflects this philosophy well: tropical plants are installed and maintained throughout the summer season, then re-homed to the public through our annual October sale.

The result is healthier plants, more distinctive designs, and vibrant spaces that stay beautiful all season long.
